ENDODONTIC THERAPY (ROOT CANAL TREATMENT)

This treatment is applied for teeth that have lost their vitality because of advanced decay, trauma or other conditions.

First, the decayed portion of the tooth is removed and the soft tissue, containing blood vessels and nerve tissues, and called dental pulp, is reached. The entire system, including root canals and the pulp chamber, is cleaned. The root canals are then expanded, disinfected and filled with special filling materials. This treatment is designed as an alternative to extracting the tooth; it helps to maintain the chewing and other functions of natural teeth that have decayed as a result of advanced caries, or for which the root tips are affected by granuloma, cysts and other lesions.
